I started Ellysium Illustrations after struggling to find the perfect northern-based illustrator for our wedding. I had this clear vision of what I wanted but just couldn’t find the right person. And then I thought... wait a minute — I can do this. With a background in art and design (and a deep love for all things creative), I decided to throw myself into this little adventure. At the time, I was also working full-time as a primary school teacher (shoutout to my gorgeous classes), but my passion for illustration just kept pulling me in. So now, I'm balancing supply teaching with building Ellysium, hoping to one day make this my full-time gig. And so far? It’s been an absolute dream — and that's all thanks to amazing people like you who trust me to bring your wedding day vision to life.

Now, it's not just me running the show — I have a little dream team behind me. My fiancé, Tom (bless him), has zero creative bones in his body, but my goodness, the man can talk to anyone. He’s officially the guest relations king, helping with on-the-day coordination, photography, and generally being the social butterfly I’m not. Then, I’m ridiculously lucky to have the most supportive bunch of friends who always step in when I need an extra hand — whether it’s assisting on a wedding day or hyping me up when imposter syndrome kicks in (we love them for that).

Right now, my main goal is to grow Ellysium into a full-time dream job and expand my offerings — from bespoke wedding illustrations to personalized orders and (fingers crossed) future school creative packages too. Big goals, big dreams — and I’m so here for it.
